Photography has been in my blood for as long as I can remember, and it was in 2004 that I decided to embrace it as a vocation. As a realtor and marketer, nothing excites me more than using the power of photography to tell the stories of the families we work with, and to capture the essence of their homes and our city.

I've spent the majority of my career at the tail end of photography...the print side. I was lucky enough to see the first large format inkjet on the market. It was a line drawing device and from there I had the need to see how I could print large photos/images. I quickly deciphered this and sent the formula down to the manufacturer who quickly sent this around the world. It was the beginning of the large format graphics printers.
Several years later I was recruited by HP as a Marketing Manager and met Ed Burtynsky and the dedicated members behind the Contact Photography Festival. I spent many years with them, as the primary corporate sponsor. We hosted Joel Meyorwitz and several Magnum Photographers to help grow the festival to the size it is today. Once it became too large, we passed the torch to Scotia Bank.
My next adventure was the Peterbourough SPARK Photography Festival. After relocating to the Barrie area, it was time to find another adventure. This is when FOCUS on SIMCOE was born.
I picked up my first film camera in my teens and have continued to grow my experience as a hobbyist. I am now sharing this passion with the South Simcoe 4-H Photography Club as a leader for kids ages 9-16. It's great to be able to give back to the community.
