Richard Bell (MPA, HLM, APPO, Cr. Photo. FPPSC) is a professional commercial, industrial, corporate and public relations photographer.
His studio in Toronto manages a wide spectrum of assignments ranging from advertising, executive, commercial, industrial, public relations, aerial and event imaging.
Some of his prestigious clients are and have been: Ontario Power Generation, Greenpark Homes, Warner Bros, Ontario Hospital Association, Canada's Walk of Fame, Royal Ontario Museum, Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF), Massey College, Petro Canada, Canapress News Service, Ontario Medical Association, General Motors Cda, McDonnell Douglas Aircraft (San Deigo), Ericson Marketing (Nashville), Crucible Services (Detroit), Grainger Racing (Chicago), Ripley's Acquarium, (Myrtle Beach), Art Gallery of New South Wales (Australia), Solomon R. Rick has received both national and international recognition for his work in the photographic field. A number of his images have been retained in the permanent loan collection of the National Archives of Canada.
He has a Master of Photographic Arts (MPA), with the Professional Photographers of Canada (PPOC): his Craftsman of Photographic Arts with the Professional Photographers of America (USA), and a Fellowship with the Professional Photographic Society of China F.PPSC (China).
He is also currently a national and internationally accredited image salon judge.
Rick was the founding Chairman of the Canadian Creators’ Copyright Coalition for Copyright Reform in Canada. This committee made presentations to politicians in Ottawa for over 27 years to retain copyright reform for all photographers across Canada.
Rick is one of only 3 photographers in the 134 year history of the PPO/PPOC to acquire the prestigious ranking of 10 Masters Bars above his Masters of Photographic Arts degree (MPA). Rick also holds the Honorary Life membership (HLM) with both the Professional Photographers of Canada and the Professional Photographers of America
As well as being Past President of the Professional Photographers of Ontario (PPO), he has resided on a number of Advisory boards which include Sheridan, Confederation and Humber colleges. He is currently the chair of the Georgian College Digital Photography Advisory Board.
Rick feels best at home when he has a camera in his hands and it doesn’t matter what the subject is, as long as he can record the moment.
