After purchasing my first decent camera in 2012, I’ve been obsessed with photography. I primarily liked taking photographs of people but eventually my focus started shifting towards landscape photography. I liked the challenge of capturing something in which I cannot direct and control to suit what I want. That, paired with being outdoors and discovering new places, made for an exciting change of pace. As an amateur photographer with a full time job (outside of photography) and as a father of two little girls, I am not always able to travel to take photographs of superb landscapes. Often times, I have to stay in my backyard and enjoy what is available to me. The regions surrounding Lake Simcoe provide ample beauty, if you know where to look.
